Confirms the presence or absence of E coli (Escherichia coli) in your sample. Reported in a user-friendly way that tells you what the result means to you. This confirmatory test is performed in addition to the E coli indicative test, if needed.
E coli testing is conducted in two parts:
In most cases, if the presence of E coli is indicated, you’ll need or want both parts of the test. For example, most tests required for accreditations need both parts. Or, you’d want to be certain that what was detected in your sample really was E coli before taking any action like throwing out products.
If the presence of E coli is indicated in the indicative test, we’ll proceed with the confirmatory test as well. The confirmatory test has an additional price that we’ll invoice to you only if it was needed.
