Balance Nutrients to Optimise Humus

Storing carbon in resistant soil organic matter has multiple benefits to soil health and productivity, but retaining crop residues is not enough to make this happen. Australian research has shown that matching soil nutrient ratios close to those of humus is essential to build resistant carbon stocks in the soil.
