Soil Structure Important for Carbon

The critical role of soil structure in agriculture shows in the loss of productivity when structure is degraded (e.g., compaction). Soil structure is the result of complex interactions between biological activity and soil minerals. In agriculture, improving soil structure can also require mechanical intervention.
